Growing up within an immigrant family as a first-generation Afghan-American, the absence of individuals resembling myself in boardrooms and leadership positions was starkly apparent. In a household predominantly composed of females, our values defied conventional norms, with education being regarded as imperative but not limiting.
Encouraged incessantly to vocalize my perspectives and uphold authenticity in all circumstances, I have seized diverse opportunities spanning from customer-facing roles to executive leadership positions. Throughout my professional trajectory, encounters with female Middle Eastern, Asian, or South Asian executive leaders have been infrequent.
Driven by a fervent commitment to address the dearth of diversity, my journey has imbued me with a profound sense of purpose. I am dedicated to forging a new paradigm for current and future generations, one that redefines notions of diversity and inclusion within the workforce.
Having navigated the telecommunications sector and collaborated with various tech industries, I have garnered invaluable experiences and insights that have not only shaped my own career trajectory but also empowered me to facilitate the growth and development of others.
